Yeah… I pretty much love this place… Went there last night for the first time.. Good coffee and great decor.. Nice staff too. I do wish they played music that was a little more spooky to match the theme tho… I’ll be back for sure. This is going to be my new “Coffee n Drawing Hangout Spot”.. So glad I went. 👻☕️🦇

Oh what a fantastic cafe! Went for the first time today with friends and was immediately impressed by the quality being so good despite a HUGE rush! The ladies worked their butts off and deserve every recognition for it. Thank you so much! I can't wait to come back. Amazing vibes.

I love coming to Nocturnal every week. The decor is beautiful, the staff are extremely friendly, and their menu items are so good! I stopped going to Starbucks so that I could come here more. I love that they support other small businesses as well. I love hearing my emo throwback songs when I walk in! I love that they are so kid friendly too. A must stop if you're in Monroe! I have told everyone about this place!

This is a family favorite of ours for unique drinks (they also have normal stuff though, don't be scared) delicious treats, and a cool, dark, yet very friendly atmosphere! My family comes here often to support the business and enjoy the vibes! It is a must-visit in Monroe, MI!

What a fun treat and interesting vibe! Everything was clean and the options were really fun. The staff was friendly and courteous. They were very busy but its easy to see why. Delicious cookies and beverages

Never heard of a Goth themed coffee house. We went to see Lonely Skeleton Band. Suggested by my wife's co-worker. I didnt know what to expect. But I will say it was a terrific experience! The wide selection of caffinated drinke were delicious and the atmosphere was excellent! Would definitely recommend.

My daughters & I went here this Wednesday. It was super cute and the atmosphere was really cool! The staff was super friendly and our coffee and baked goods were delicious!

Awesome gothic decor with even better drinks! We had a coffee drink, a frozen Oatmilk latte, and a specialty drink called Oh, Darling - frozen blueberry lemonade with blueberry whipped cream - and all were delicious. Plus a giant m&m cookie that was amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful, answering all our questions with a smile. They have a great selection of books you can read and games to take to your table. We will definitely be stopping in every time we are near Monroe!

We have been driving over an hour (one-way) to Nocturnal at least once a month since the moment they opened their doors, and to us, it feels less like a drive and more like a pilgrimage. This place is sacred to us and is deeply, dearly, and irrevocably loved. ✨️ We’ve chased “the best coffee” all over the Midwest on road trips, and I can say this without hesitation: nothing else even exists in the same realm. Nocturnal stands alone. Their drinks are not just coffee, they’re magic. I'm talking mug-sized works of art, crafted with care, intention, and so much heart. 🖤 Their house-made syrups are fresh, thoughtfully made with real ingredients, often (if not always) gluten free, and you can taste the care in every sip. The seasonal menu drinks are dreamy: limited, imaginative, beautifully balanced, and always a little mysterious. Blink and you’ll miss them, but that just makes them more special. The creativity here is unmatched. The whimsy... the goth vibes! The themed menus and events that you can't wait for. Every visit feels special, like stepping into a hazy, warm, dream where coffee reigns supreme. Truthfully, their drinks outright sparkle. Dare I say… this is the drink of a killer, Bella. 🤍✨ And the music is always on point. Emo, pop punk, and perfectly curated in a way that makes it abundantly clear that a certain owner was absolutely a regular scene queen back in the day, and of course I mean that as the highest compliment. 🫡It feels like sipping something bewitched while the soundtrack to your Midwest emo coming-of-age plays softly in the background. If you know, you know. Every barista here is an absolute doll. Warm, kind, welcoming, and genuinely lovely humans who make you feel instantly at home. Came up to Monroe for another spot, but was craving coffee. Found the cutest moody coffee shop I’ve ever seen! I’m a bookish girl and the vibes inside were immaculate. Staff were v friendly and let me modify one of their specialty drinks with no hassle. Definitely worth the stop if you’re close by! Will be coming back next time I’m in town.
